These pages will be developed to explore the development of mechanical, electrical and electronic devices that reproduce the complexity of change ringing. They may also expand on that to include tune playing machines.
The Carter ringing Machine is part of the Central Council's collection and so has comprehensive descriptions here derived from Bill Purvis's web site. These are mostly Bill's own work with foundations laid by previous Stewards of the Machine.
